Our Teen Martial Arts Classes begin by creating a fun, friendly and trusting environment where children can face their fears and overcome their challenges. Then we use an age-appropriate curriculum that parallels the parents’ social, academic and environmental values so you can be sure that your child is learning important character-defining disciplines.

Safety Training

Not only do our Teen Martial Arts students gain the confidence that comes from knowing how to defend themselves, but younger students participate in discussions on:

  • Stranger Danger
  • When to call 911
  • PLUS Fire Safety and Street Safety

Children learn how to diffuse a situation using verbal defense, as well as using attitude and strong body language to prevent bullying. They are taught that fighting is the last resort.

The System

The Bushi Ban Teen development system is based on achieving short and long term goals where recognition, reward, and ranking is an ongoing method of awarding effort.

Stripes and belts are awarded on accomplishment and achievement! Prepare your teens for the REAL World!

Martial arts instills a deep sense of sportsmanship by teaching respect for opponents, humility in victory, and grace in defeat. Through disciplined training and adherence to a code of conduct, students learn to value fair play, honor, and the importance of camaraderie both in and out of the dojo.

Healthy competition

Healthy competition in martial arts builds character by fostering resilience, discipline, and perseverance. By challenging themselves and others in a respectful environment, students develop a strong sense of integrity, self-confidence, and the ability to handle both success and setbacks with grace.

Martial arts can instill leadership qualities by encouraging students to take initiative, mentor peers, and set positive examples both inside and outside the dojo. Through disciplined practice and opportunities to lead by example, students develop confidence, accountability, and the ability to inspire and guide others effectively.
